Branding Photography for Amelia Woodford // Actress + Director

She acts, she directs, she wows people with her charisma. I mean, is there anything this woman doesn’t do? The answer is no. Hell no.

// Prior to this shoot we talked a lot about what she needed most out of our time together, what was most important to her, why she wanted to do this in the first place. These aren’t necessarily easy questions and there is a reason or that. Branding photography isn’t just a chance to get dressed (although, these days any excuse to get dressed is enough, am I right?). It’s intentional, it requires a lot of forethought and it’s an opportunity to get real with yourself.

I asked her how she spends her days lately, what’s bringing her passion and joy, what does she want for the future? She told me about the hours she spends reading about directing, how she continues to study acting and how much she loves it. She described her love of escapism through her art and as I listened to her, I immediately knew her shoot was going to have a quiet tone, full of whimsical poses that truly capture her inner child and powerful essence.
