Three Things // For you on my Birthday

Today is my birthday and although I could very well write about how my personal life is going, my goals, etc., I thought I would take this opportunity to instead launch a new column on the blog! I’m calling it Three Things. I plan on posting it once a month and providing you with links of my current favorite things I am using or trying or simply rituals/places/things I’m just excited about. I’ve always loved sharing my favorite things with my friends (quite passionate about it actually) so I thought sharing in this space would be another way to spread the love. Enjoy!

Ok so let me just say, I LOVE THIS COMPANY. It is a female led small business that makes the most beautiful jewelry. My favorite part about them is that they make personalized rings and necklaces. I just bought a necklace with my son’s name on it (this one!) and I am in love. I also bought a couple of midi rings (my favorite things) in rose gold and I can’t stop staring at my hands all day. I bought my mom this one with the letter o for Mother’s Day and she absolutely loved it. I plan on basically buying their entire collection little by little because I just can’t get enough.

2. Skin Cueticals

Oh skin care, how I love thee. Taking care of my acne prone skin (hello cystic acne) has been a long road of trial and error, a lot of money and frustration, but after many years of all that, I finally figured it out. Aside from finding an amazing esthetician and dermatologist (they are doing the Lord’s work), I started budgeting for more professional skin care products. Don’t get me wrong, I love a deal and hate spending a fortune on a serum, but my God, if it works like a gem it’s hard not to prioritize it. There are definitely more expensive brands out there that I’m sure are wonderful, but Skin Cueticals has by far been the skin care line that has changed my skin and changed my life and worth every penny. I personally use this serum for day time (make sure to use sunscreen as well!) and this serum at night. I’m 41 one years old (today!) and I owe my young looking skin to this brand (and my genes - thank you mom!). Another favorite is their Tripple Lipid Restore cream. It goes on like silk and it feels luxuuuurious.

3. Ritual

This one is for my ladies. Yes, this is a subscription. Ugh, why are there so many subscriptions in the world now and why do they all seem so necessary? They’re not. However, Ritual is a subscription I was happy to pay for when I was trying to get pregnant, during pregnancy and postpartum. They offer prenatal vitamins, postnatal vitamins and multi vitamins for women. It’s a vegan product, full of only ingredients you need. I also love their customer service and easy interface. Love, love love.
