Restaurant Tour // Saying Goodbye to Boat Street Kitchen
Boat Street Kitchen. A place that in short, makes people feel at home. A beautiful hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Seattle offering delectable french food and wine. The second you walk into the courtyard there is an ease about you. You’re relaxed and instantly look forward to what is about to be presented in front of your hungry heart.
// The staff, small and mighty, take care of you, they know you and they greet you with casual hellos as if you’re family. The air smells of slow roasted everything, rich sauces and butter. So. Much. Butter.
My heart is so heavy learning this week that due to COVID, Boat Street Kitchen will be closing its doors for good as of November 15th. They catered my wedding, they helped me pay my bills years ago and they’ve become a special little community to me.
I’m eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to do a shoot for them months ago. We can all look back on the white walls, the food and the smiles of the people who ran such an incredible establishment. Seattle truly is losing a cherished staple, but we will never forget.
