Boutique Store Owner Branding Photoshoot // Ramona Abbasian
When I first met Zach he would buy me really special candles that smelled like heaven. Fast forward three years later I discovered those candles are from Ramona’s shop and here I am, photographing her in front of her shop. Like, what is happening??? Life is wild.
Meet Ramona. She owns a beautiful store on Ballard Ave here in Seattle called Studio RA and it’s quite simply, a gem of a place. I mean, there are backpacks made of paper AND they’re amazing. The clothes, the scarves, everything.
// I’m so honored to have spent a morning with her, getting to know her story, learning about her community in Ballard with all her fellow shop colleagues. It was a reminder to me how important and valuable it is to have people in your corner as a business owner. Having support, people you can turn to for advice that share in the same successes and hardships as you; that is everything. When you have a business it can be really lonely at times, it can feel isolating and it’s a world that many don’t understand.
>>> One of the reasons I moved to Seattle was to foster the relationships I was building slowly here and I wanted very much to see where that would lead me. I am where I am today because of those people who took me in and we now help each other every day. I can see all that in Ramona, her story and the people she is surrounded by in Ballard. She is an example of what success can look like and it has everything to do with who you choose as your people :)
Thank you for this sweet reminder Ramona. You are inspirational as you are savvy and photogenic. xo
